This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Antigua Guatemala, the most important and charming colonial city in Guatemala. Founded by the Spanish in 1543, Antigua is today a beautiful blend of ruins, restored colonial buildings, and new constructions that preserve the colonial style. It was declared a “Monument of the Americas” in 1965.
The tour continues with a visit to Finca Filadelfia, a renowned coffee plantation. Guatemala, rich in natural and cultural diversity, offers visitors an authentic encounter with gourmet coffee. During this experience, guests will explore an organic coffee plantation and learn about coffee culture and the wet-processing method. The tour explains each stage of the process—from reception and pulping, fermentation and washing, to drying—while highlighting innovative environmental practices such as water treatment systems and seedling nurseries.
Afterward, you will continue to the Central Plaza of Antigua, surrounded by the historic Cathedral, City Hall, and the Palace of the Captains General, as well as colonial monasteries and churches. The visit also includes a stop at a jade factory, where this precious stone is handcrafted into fine jewelry. Return to Guatemala City in the afternoon.
