A short drive along the Pan-American Highway will take you to the colonial city of Antigua Guatemala. Upon arrival, you will have more time to fully appreciate this historical gem, beginning with visits to important temples such as San Francisco Church, Escuela de Cristo, and San Pedro Apóstol Church, each representative of the city’s religious and architectural heritage.
You will then visit emblematic spots such as Parque de la Unión and Tanque de la Unión, which reflect daily life and the traditional charm of Antigua. After lunch at Porta Hotel Antigua, the tour continues with visits to the city’s most important churches, as well as its monasteries, museums, and colonial buildings.
Later, you will visit some of the traditional arts and handicraft centers and the Plaza de Armas, where you will have enough time to explore the Palace of the Captains General and the surrounding buildings. Return to Guatemala City in the afternoon.
