In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Pacaya Volcano, located between the departments of Guatemala and Escuintla. Rising to approximately 2,250 meters (7,382 ft) above sea level, its height has changed over time due to frequent eruptions. Pacaya is part of a large volcanic caldera that also includes Lake Amatitlán and the Laguna de Calderas. The volcano features a secondary vent known as Pico Mackenney, which remains active. Clearly marked trails guide the ascent (blue route) and descent (green route), offering a safe and scenic experience. From the volcano, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Guatemala City, Lake Amatitlán, the Volcán de Agua, and the surrounding natural landscapes.
